Ingredients

  • 1 quart water
  • 4 teaspoons Better than Bullion chicken stock (you can substitut
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chile paste
  • 3 oz. water chestnuts
  • 1/4 pound Chinese BBQ pork
  • 4-6 large shrimp
  • Handful of dried shiitake mushroom
  • 2 oz. firm tofu cut into strips
  • 1 egg scrambled
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 green onion diced for garnish

Instructions

Step 1

Boil water and reduce heat to medium.

Step 2

Stir in bullion.

Step 3

Add vinegar and soy sauce.

Step 4

Add shrimp and mushroom.

Step 5

Add pork and chestnuts.

Step 6

Add chili paste tofu pepper and sesame oil.

Step 7

Bring to a boil and pour in cornstarch mixture.

Step 8

Reduce heat and drizzle in egg while stirring.

Step 9

Garnish with green onion.
