Ingredients
- a medium chicken cut into pieces
- 1 and half onions, in quarters
- half onion finely sliced
- 2 inches of root ginger, peeled, choped in half
- 3 cloves of whole garlic
- about 10 whole cloves
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 small stick cinnamon
- 8-9 green cardamom
- 1 tsp black peppercorns
- 4-5 black cardamon
Instructions
Step 1
Add some oil in a pot over a heat, stir in the onion. Stir for a few minutes, Add about 10 whole cloves, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 small stick cinnamon, 8-9 green cardamom, 1 tsp black peppercorns, and 4-5 black cardamon.
Step 2
Stir and cook for a few minutes, add the ginger and garlic. Stir and cook for a few minutes, add chicken pieces. Cook for 5-10 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients. Add water if stuck. Cook for a few minutes. Add enough boiling water to cover the chicken pieces. Cook for half an hour.
Step 3
Strain though a strainer into a big bowl.
