Ingredients
- Leftover ground meat stew
- mashed potatoes
- 2 eggs, beaten with water to make an egg wash
- bread crumbs or flour
Instructions
Step 1
Cup a small amount of mashed potatoes in your hand, make a well, fill with one spoonful of ground beef filling. Form a ball. Roll into the egg wash bowl then into the dried breadcrumbs bowl.
Step 2
Lower carefully into a deep fryer at 375 degrees F filled with canola oil or peanut oil. Since everything else is already cooked, you only need 10 to 15 seconds to brown the breadcrumbs.
Step 3
You may serve immediately or refrigerate. Warming up later in a microwave will work well.
