Ingredients

  • 300g marge/butter
  • 300g caster sugar
  • 300g SR flour
  • 4 eggs
  • nutella

Instructions

Step 1

To make your cake, you need to start off with 300g of Easter sugar. Then add 300g of butter or marge. Mix well.

Step 2

Next add 4 eggs. You may see a difference in the colour of yolks on this video, I have used 2 from my chickens ( which are more orange) and two "Happy Eggs" which are also free range eggs. Then mix them in. Till you get a sloppy mixture.

Step 3

Next add 300g of self raising flour, and mix well. Now you want two pans, they can be any shape. Make sure to grease them and out baking parchment down so they don't stick. I used kingfisher catering cake tin cases which are perfect as they are already cut to shape. Now add your mixture. Do this at a time to try and make the cake layers even.

Step 4

Spread your mixture out a bit so that it cooks into the desired shape. Then put them in the oven, cook for 10-15 minute at 180 degrees.

Step 5

After they are done, turn them out onto a cooling rack, put one of them upside down to make it easier to balance the other on later.

Step 6

Ice the upside down one first, I use nutella. Then ice the or if you would like to then do the sides well. I use nutella again.
