Ingredients
- 2 ½ lbs. of pork loin (1 3/4 pounds lean meat)
- 2 medium onions
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- 1/3 cup sugar-free butter flavored syrup
- 2 (14.5 oz) cans green beans
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Pre -heat 12-inch non-stick sauce pan on high heat.
Step 2
While pan is pre-heating, trim and remove all visible fat from 2 ½ lbs. of pork loin. (After fat removed, will yield approximately 1 ¾ pounds meat.)
Step 3
Cut pork loin into 1-inch chunks.
Step 4
Place pork into preheated pan and brown on high heat.
Step 5
Cover and continue cooking on high heat, stirring occasionally.
Step 6
While the meat is cooking, cut 2 medium onions in half, and then cut the halves into thin slices. (While cutting the onions, remember to occasionally stir the meat.)
Step 7
Drain 2 (14.5 oz) cans of green beans.
Step 8
Reduce heat to medium.
Step 9
Stir in the sliced onions, 2 teaspoons of Cajun seasoning, 1/3 cup sugar-free butter flavored syrup, and the drained green beans to the cooked meat.
Step 10
Cover and continue cooking.
Step 11
Remove and stir in 2 tablespoons of honey and ¼ t ground black pepper.
