Recipe: the Most Popular New York Strip Steak
Ingredients
- 8 large mushrooms, sliced
- 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup sherry vinegar
- salt to taste
- 1 whole garlic clove peeled and bruised
- 1 tbsp fresh chopped tarragon
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 (8-oz) New York strip steaks
- salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp butter to finish sauce
Instructions
Step 1
slice large mushrooms
Step 2
put 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter into a pan, use medium heatput down sliced mushrooms,
cook them until they are brown
Step 3
pound down a garlic, put it with the mushrooms.let mushroom suck garlic's flavor.
Step 4
turn off the heat, add 1/4 cup sherry vinegar into the warm pan, disturb itpour it down to the mushroom
Step 5
add soft pepper to both sides of the trip steak,
Step 6
put oil into a fry pan, medium heat...then cook the steak for 2-2.5 minutes per side
Step 7
take the steak out, put mushrooms into the pan,pour the mushroom liquor into the pan, too
