Ingredients
- 350 g ground beef
- 150 g ground pork
- 1 egg
- 100 ml milk
- 60 g bread crumbs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 ½ tsp white pepper
- 1 a pinch of cinnamon
- 1 ½ onion - finely chopped
- 100 ml vegetable oil
- 1 for the sauce:
- 2 tsp flour
- 2 tbsp red wine
- 240 ml beef broth
- 1 tbsp sour cream
- 2 tbsp parsley - finely chopped
- 1 salt and pepper
Instructions
Add the follow ingredients into a bowl: beef, the pork, egg, milk, breadcrumbs, salt, white pepper, allspice and the onion. Mix well.
Roll a spoon of the meat around in the palms of your hands to shape it into a small ball. Use your fingers to mould it and place it onto a tray. Repeat the process until all meat has been made into balls.
Place the frying pan on a medium - high heat. When hot, add some oil, heat through. When the oil is hot, add some meatballs. Cab fry them in batches, depending on the size of your pan. Fry for a few minutes. Turn them over to fry on the other side with your tongs. When they turn crispy and brown, remove and place them onto a tray and fry the second batch.
Remove oil in the pan, but leaving around two tablespoons of them. Add flour and whisk into the oil. Scrape the bottom of the pan to add extra flavour. Add the wine and the beef broth. Boil, while whisking continuously, season with salt and pepper. Boil for some minutes, still whisking, helping the sauce to thicken. Add the sour cream and whisk in. Place the meatballs back into the sauce.
Add chopped parsley. Mix the balls well into the sauce. Spoon them onto a serving plate. Served hot.
