- 1 1/4 lbs ground turkey
- 1/4 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pinch of cayenne
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 For the glaze
- 1 cup canned jellied cranberry sauce
- 1/2 cup orange jelly or marmalade
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
- 1 tbsp minced jalapeno peppers, optional
- 1 tbsp minced Fresno peppers, optional
- 1 salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
Add 1 1/4 lb ground turkey, 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt, 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, pinch of cayenne, 1 large beaten egg, and 1/4 cup milk in a large mixing bowl. Mix well.
Add 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs in the bowl. Mix well. Cover the bowl with a plastic. Refrigerate for about 1 hour.
After refrigerating, use a scoop to shape the mixture into meet balls. Place a foil in a baking sheet. Place the balls on the foil. Use your hands to roll the balls in order to make them smooth.
Brown the balls in a pan over medium heat. Use two forks to turn them around. Brown them on as many as surface you can. Remove and set aside.
Add 1 cup canned jellied cranberry sauce, 1/2 cup orange jelly or marmalade, and 1/2 cup chicken broth or water in the pan over medium heat. Bring it to a simmer. Add 1 tablespoon minced jalapeno peppers, and 1 tablespoon minced Fresno peppers. Give it a stir. Return the meet balls in the pan. Stir around. Simmer on medium low heat until the meet balls are cooked through. Add some salt and pepper. Stir around.
Remove and serve.
