Recipe: Watercolor Mussels
Ingredients
- 2 pounds mussels
- 1 cup of wine
- 1/2 stick butter
- lots of minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp salt
- pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup Italian parsley
- bread and lemons
Instructions
Step 1
Brush and rinse the mussels well.
Step 2
Take a pot with a tight lid over medium heat.Melt the butter. Then sizzle the garlic for 20 seconds( do not brown ).
Step 3
Now turn the heat to high.Add some pepper flakes, and 1/2 tsp salt. Boil for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Add 1/2 the parsley and mussels.Cover the pot. Give the pot a shake.
Then boil for 2 minutes then stir.
Step 5
Keep boiling until the shells open.Serve immediately. garnish with some fresh parsley, bread and lemon.
