Recipe: Turkey Bolognese
Ingredients
- 1 pound rigatoni
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 pounds ground turkey
- 1 onion - chopped
- 2 cloves garlic - minced
- salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
- dried Italian herbs to taste
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 28-oz jar marinara sauce
- 2 cups water - more as needed
- 1/4 cup fresh Italian parsley - chopped
- grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Step 1
Add 1/4 cup olive oil into a pan over medium heat. Add 2 pounds ground turkey.
Step 2
Chop 1 onion, and dice it. Then add into the pan. Stir around.
Step 3
Chop 2 cloves garlic. Make room in the centre of the pan, and put the garlic in.Stir around. Add some salt and fresh ground black pepper, 1/2 cup milk. Toss around.
Cook for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Add 1 28-oz jar marinara sauce and 1/4 cup fresh Italian parsley. Bring it to a simmer.Simmer for 1 hour. Add water once in a while to keep the same level of water in the pan.
Step 5
Boil 1 pound rigatoni. Drain well and put into a pan. Dump in the sauce.Stir around, let sit for 5 minutes. Add Parmesan cheese if desired.
