Recipe: Tasty Tender Ricotta Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1/2 onion, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped Italian parsley
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt (or 3/4 tsp table salt)
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- cayenne to taste
- 1 pound ground beef (85% lean)
- 1/3 cup plain breadcrumb
- 1 (28-oz) jar prepared marinara sauce
- 1 cup water
Instructions
Step 1
put oil into a pan, then put 1/2 minced onion, cook for a few seconds
Step 2
then put in some minced cloves garlicturn off heat
Step 3
put an egg, 1 cup ricotta cheese and garlic into a bowl, mix them together.then put in 1/2 tsp kosher salt (or 3/4 tsp table salt), 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper, 1 pound ground beef, 1/3 cup plain breadcrumb, mix them
Step 4
roll the meat with your hands into balls
Step 5
cook the balls in a pan, when they are done, add tomato sauce, 1 cup water,simmer for 30 minutes
