Recipe: Spicy Orange Pork Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground bison
  • 2 cloves garlic - minced
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg - beaten
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp sambal Asian chili sauce or red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 3 cups water

Instructions

Step 1

Put the following ingredients into a large bowl: 1 pound ground bison, 2 cloves garlic - minced, 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs,
1 beaten egg, 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper. Mix well.

Step 2

Then make them into smalls balls.

Step 3

Heat oil in a pan over a medium heat. Then put into the meatballs. Brown the meatballs both sides on medium heat.
Then add in 2 tbsp sambal Asian chili sauce, or red pepper flakes, 1/2 cup orange marmalade
1 tbsp soy sauce, 1/4 cup rice vinegar, 3 cups water.

Step 4

Simmer, turning on med-low heat for 1 hour. stir occasionally.

Step 5

Transfer these meatballs on a serving plate. enjoy.
