Recipe: Spaghetti alla Carbonara
Ingredients
- 6-8 oz dry spaghetti (or any pasta)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 oz pancetta, guanciale, or in a pinch, a mildy smoked bacon
- fresh coarsely ground black pepper
- 2 eggs
- about 3/4 cup grated Italian cheese
Instructions
Step 1
Add 1 tablespoon olive,4 oz pancetta, guanciale, or in a pinch, a mildy smoked bacon,
and some fresh coarsely ground black pepper,
in a dutch oven over a heat. Stir around and cook for a few minutes until crispy. Turn the heat to low.
Step 2
Meanwhile, add 2 eggs, some ground black pepper and about some grated Italian cheese in a bowl. Whisk well.
Step 3
Boil 6-8 oz dry spaghetti. Add a cup of the spaghetti water in the dutch oven. Drain the spaghetti, and add it in the dutch oven. Add the eggs sauce in the dutch oven, and keep stirring the spaghetti until stir well. Then add about some grated Italian cheese on the top. Stir well.
