Recipe: Sloppy Giuseppe
Ingredients
- no-knead dough made into rolls
- cooked spice-rubbed pork shoulder - chopped
- hot pepper flakes - to taste
- salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
- tomato sauce as needed
- splash of water
Instructions
Step 1
Spread flour into your work surface generously. Dump in the no-knead dough.Sprinkle some flour on the top of the dough. Press and pat it into a flat rectangle shape.
Then cut it into 8 pieces. Roll each piece into a ball.
Step 2
Sprinkle some flour into a baking pan, Place the dough balls on the pan. Let sit for a few minutes.
Step 3
Chop spice-rubbed pork shoulder into small pieces. Put the into a pot over medium heat,add hot pepper flakes, tomato sauce and water. Stir well. Cook for a few minutes. Remove and set aside.
Step 4
Sprinkle flour on the top of the dough ball. Use a Scissors to cut each dough ball in the middle, 1/5 down.Then bake them in an oven at 450F for 35 minutes.
After done, remove from the oven. Cool for a few minutes. Cut each bread into half, like a burger bread.
