Recipe: Roasted Rainbow Trout

Ingredients

  • 2 whole boneless rainbow trout
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or other herb

Instructions

Step 1

Add 4 tbsp butter in a saute pan over med-low heat. When the butter is melted and becomes golden-brown. Turn off the heat.

Step 2

Spoon over 1/2 spoon butter sauce on each rainbow trout, spread well.
Season them with salt and pepper. Cook them in an preheated oven for a few minutes, 5-6 inches away from the heater.

Step 3

Now turn the heat to high, put the saute pan with butter sauce on the heat. Add the lemon juice and 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley. Give it a mix. As soon as it comes to a boil, it is done.

Step 4

Put the cooked rainbow trout in a serving plate, spoon over the sauce, enjoy!
