Recipe: Pumpkin Cream Brulee

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • white sugar
  • pinch salt

Instructions

Step 1

Add 3 egg yolks and 1/2 cup brown sugar in a large mixing bowl. Mix well.

Step 2

Stir in 1 cup heavy cream. Mix for 2 minutes. Add 1 cup pumpkin puree, mix well.

Step 3

Add 1/2 tsp allspice, 1/4 tsp cinnamon and a little pinch of salt.
Mix well.

Step 4

Now separate the mixture in a few baking cups. Put a paper towel on a baking pan, and place the baking cups on the baking pan. Pour water in the baking pan, half way up.

Step 5

Bake them in an oven at 325F for 30-35 minutes. Then remove and cool in a refrigerator for a couple of hours.
Add a few tbsp sugar on each Brulee. Use a blow torch to burn the sugar on the top until melted.

Step 6

Cool before serve.
