Recipe: Potato Gnocchi

Ingredients

  • 1 large russet potato
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup flour depending on a wide array of factors
  • sauce to cover

Instructions

Step 1

Cook the large russet potato in a microwave for about 7 minutes. Peel the potato,
Stir it. Push it through a strainer into a plate. Add a pinch of salt, stir well.
Let cool for 15 minutes. Dump in 1 beaten egg. Stir well.
Dump in 1/2 to 3/4 cup flour, stir well.

Step 2

Put the mixture on a floured board. Make it into a Cuboid shape. Cut it into 4 even piece.
Roll each piece into a 1/2 inch thick, cut the piece into 1/2 inch small pieces.
Roll each small pieces on the back of the fork.

Step 3

Bring the salted water to a boil, then dump in the potato mixture pieces. After the pieces float on the top,
cook for another 15 seconds. Then remove and transfer to the sauce. Stir well.

Step 4

Transfer to a serving plate, topped with some cheese. Enjoy!
