Recipe: Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 4 large pork chops - about 1 inch thick
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 large yellow onion - sliced
- 4 cloves garlic - finely minced
- 1 rounded tablespoon flour
- 1 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup water
- 4 cups cooked rice - optional
Instructions
Step 1
Put the pork chops on a plate, season both sides of the pork chops with 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning and some salt.
Step 2
Add some olive oil on a pan over medium high heat. Brown the pork chops in the pan.Once done, transfer the pork chops on a plate, and pour off the excess oil in the pan.
Step 3
Add 1 tablespoon butter in the pan over medium heat.Add the yellow onion slices, and a big pinch of salt. Brown these for about 15 minutes.
Step 4
Put the pork chops back in the pan, simmer those on low heat for 10 minutes.
