Ingredients

  • 4 large pork chops - about 1 inch thick
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 large yellow onion - sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic - finely minced
  • 1 rounded tablespoon flour
  • 1 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4 cups cooked rice - optional

Instructions

Step 1

Put the pork chops on a plate, season both sides of the pork chops with 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning and some salt.

Step 2

Add some olive oil on a pan over medium high heat. Brown the pork chops in the pan.
Once done, transfer the pork chops on a plate, and pour off the excess oil in the pan.

Step 3

Add 1 tablespoon butter in the pan over medium heat.
Add the yellow onion slices, and a big pinch of salt. Brown these for about 15 minutes.

Step 4

Put the pork chops back in the pan, simmer those on low heat for 10 minutes.

Step 5

To serve, put 4 cups cooked rice on a serving plate, top with a piece of pork chop. Pour over the sauce. Enjoy.
