Recipe: Pesto Pasta with Walnut and herbs

Ingredients

  • 12 oz dry spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup mixed fresh Italian herbs
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • hot pepper flakes
  • 1/2 lemon

Instructions

Step 1

Roughly chop 6 cloves garlic and the mixed fresh Italian herbs.
Put them into a bowl, add some salt and pepper. Pound them well.

Step 2

Add 1/2 cup walnuts, pound well.
Add 1/2 cup olive oil, Mix well.
Add some grated parmesan,
and hot pepper flakes. Mix well.

Step 3

Boil 12 oz dry spaghetti. Remove and drain.
Transfer to a serving plate. Pour over the sauce. Use two forks to mix well.
Add the remaining grated parmesan, Mix well.

Step 4

To serve, topped with some parmesan cheese and walnuts. Squeeze the juice of 1/2 lemon on it.
