Recipe: Perfect Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 3 large Russet potatoes
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1

Cut each potato into half. Put them in salted water. Bring it to a boil, cook for 20 - 25 minutes. Drain them, dump them into the pot over high heat. Use a masher to mash the potato with straight down motion.

Step 2

Add 1/2 stick butter, mash them well.

Step 3

Add 1/2 cup milk in the pot, use the masher to stir well.

Step 4

Add some salt some pepper, mash for about 20 seconds.
