Recipe: Perfect Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients
- 3 large Russet potatoes
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and halve the potatoes. Put the potatoes and water into a pot.Boil for 20-25 minutes. Use a knife to insert the potatoes. if they are soft and tender, they are done.
Step 2
Drain the potatoes, put them back to the pot over a heat. When you see steam from the bottom,Use a masher to mash the potatoes in straight down motions. Add the 1/2 stick butter, mash well.
Step 3
Add 1/2 cup milk and somesalt and pepper, mash well.
