Recipe: Oven Smoked Pulled Pork Shoulder

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 lb pork shoulder roast
  • 3-4 tbsp dry rub
  • 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
  • barbecue sauce as needed
  • water
  • buns
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1

Put the pork shoulder roast on a plate.
Generously sprinkle the dry rub on all sides of the pork shoulder roast. Season well.
Then put the pork shoulder roast in a Dutch Oven.

Step 2

Take two cups, add 1/4 tsp liquid smoke and 1/2 cup water into each cup. and put the cups beside the pork shoulder roast in the Dutch Oven.
Put the Dutch Oven into an oven, cook at 210F for 12 hours.

Step 3

After that, remove the Dutch Oven. Put the pork shoulder on a board. Get rid of the bones. Roughly chop the pork shoulder. Pour over 6 tbsp barbecue sauce.
Use you knife to chop roughly and mix well with the sauce for about 1 minute. Add some salt and pepper. Mix well.

Step 4

Add a little barbecue sauce to moist the buns. Pile up you succulent pork shoulder on the bun. Add a little more sauce on the top of the pork shoulder. Enjoy.
