Recipe: No-Knead Pizza
Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 tsp dry active yeast
- 1 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup wheat flour
- 2 1/2 cups AP flour
- cornmeal as needed
- salt and pepper
- herb
- cheese
Instructions
Step 1
Add 1/4 tsp dry active yeast,1 1/2 cup water,
1 1/4 tsp salt,
1/4 tsp sugar,
2 tbsp olive oil,
1/2 cup wheat flour,
and 2 1/2 cups AP flour into a large bowl. Mix well.
Step 2
Cover the bowl with a plastic, make some holes in the plastic.Let rise for 12 hours.
Step 3
Scrape the dough on a well-floured board. Flour the top side generously.Press it down. Cut dough into 4, keep rolling the sides of each quarter underneath.
Step 4
put a quarter on a floured board. press and stretch it thin. Use extra flour if it sticks.Use a wood roller to roll the dough to 8-9 inch size.
Step 5
Sprinkle some cornmeal on the dough, and pat them in the dough.Sprinkle lots of cornmeal on a baking sheet. Put the dough on the baking sheet,
cornmeal-side down.
Step 6
Put 2 cloves diced garlic and 1 tbsp oil in a bowl, mix them well.Spread the mixture on the dough. Sprinkle some herb, salt and pepper.
Top the dough with cheese.
Step 7
Preheat oven to 450F, bake the dough on bottom of the oven for 6 minutes.Then move it in the middle of the oven, and bake for 3-4 minutes.
