Recipe: New York Strip Steaks with Salad

Ingredients

  • Toasted bread
  • Simple green salad
  • Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup chicken or beef stock
  • a couple tbsps soy sauce
  • a few tablespoons sherry vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • chopped onion
  • chopped parsely

Instructions

Step 1

Season the New York Strip steaks well with salt and pepper.

Step 2

Add 1 tbsp Dijon mustard, 1 tbsp ketchup, a couple tbsps soy sauce and a few tablespoons sherry vinegar, 1 cup chicken or beef stock in a bowl. Mix well and set aside.

Step 3

Add 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan over high heat. Put the steak in the pan. Sear for 3 minutes per side.

Step 4

Place the green salad and the toasted bread on a serving plate. Transfer the steak on the bread.

Step 5

Add some butter and some chopped onion on the pan over high heat. Pour the mixed sauce in. Bring it to a boil, reduced by half. Add some chopped parsley and a tbsp butter in the pan. Mix well. Then spoon the sauce over the steak. Enjoy!
