Recipe: Meaty Mushroom Burger

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 1/2 lb mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 finely chopped onion
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 2/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Step 1

Add 4 tbsp olive oil,
1 1/2 lb mushrooms,
1/2 finely chopped onion,
a pinch of salt,
and 4 cloves minced garlic into a pot over medium heat. Saute for a few minutes until the liquids come out. Add 1/2 tsp dried oregano. Saute until the liquid dries out.

Step 2

Transfer the mushrooms on a board. Roughly chop them up. Then put them in a bowl. Add 3/4 cup breadcrumbs, 2 beaten eggs, 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp black pepper. Mix well. Add 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan, mix well. Add 2 beaten eggs. Mix well. Sit for 15 minutes.

Step 3

Put some water and oil in your hands, form the mixture into burgers. Fry them with some olive oil on the pan for 5-6 minutes.

Step 4

Serve on your favorite burger bun.
