Ingredients
- 1 large celery root
- 2 russet potatoes
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup cream or milk
- fresh nutmeg
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Cut off the bottom and the top of the celery root. Go around with your knife and take off the thick skin. Cut it in half, cut each half in half, then third.
Step 2
Cut the potatoes into large cubes, same size as the celery root cubes. Put potato cubes and celery root cubes in a pot, cover with water. Add 1 1/2 tbsp salt in the pot. Boil them for 20 minutes.
Step 3
After boiling, drain well. Add 1/4 cup butter, fresh nutmeg, some salt and pepper. Use a masher to mash them. Add 1/4 cup cream or milk (optional). Use a spatula to mix well.
