Recipe: Low Fat London broil

Ingredients

  • grass-fed top round roast
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves sliced garlic
  • 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • salt as needed

Instructions

Step 1

Place a paper towel into a big bowl, then place the grass-fed top round roast on the top of the paper towel.
Thaw in fridge 48 hours.

Step 2

Slice the round roast in half. Then separate the round roast by trimming right through the muscle.
Top round roast yields: Two (1 lb) London Broils, 1 1/2 lbs Stew Meat.

Step 3

Add lots of soy sauce, 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar, 3 tbsp olive oil, 4 cloves sliced garlic, 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper,
1 tsp dried Italian herbs into a large flat pan, mix well.

Step 4

Then put the London broils into the pan, use a fork to dip the London broils with the sauce.
Wrap the pan, marinate overnight.

Step 5

Set broiler to high. Place the London broils on a rack, season both side with soft pepper.

Step 6

Then put in a oven, broil about 7 minutes per side. Make sure 125-130F internal temperature in the broils.

Step 7

For best result, let rest 10 minutes. Cut across the grain.
