Recipe: Kraft Shepherd Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 3/4 cup beef broth or stock
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp ketchup or Kraft red pepper dressing
  • 4 cups frozen mixed vegetables - peas - carrot - corn
  • 1 1/4 lb gold or red potatoes
  • 3 cloves garlic - peeled - halved
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup light sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

Step 1

Take 1/4 lb gold or red potatoes, cut them into large chunks. Put them into a pot.
Cover them with water, then add 3 peeled garlic cloves and a pinch of salt.
Bring it to a boil, and boil until tender.

Step 2

Put a saute pan or non-stick pan over medium heat, add some oil, brown the ground beef.
Stir in 2 tbsp flour. Cook for a couple minutes, add 3/4 cup beef broth, 2-3 tbsp Kraft dressing,
and 4 cups frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrot, corn). Cook for 5 minutes.
Then transfer the mixture(pie) to a plate.

Step 3

When the potatoes are ready, drain and smash them. Add 1/4 cup Kraft cheddar cheese and 3/4 cup light sour cream
to the potatoes, Smash well. Add a pinch of salt, stir well. Then transfer the potatoes at the top of the pie in the plate.
Use a fork to make some marks on top. Topped with 1/4 cup Kraft cheddar on top.
Bake at 375F for 20 - 25 minutes.

Step 4

Cool 15 minutes before serve.
