Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1/3 plain bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk - can substitute water or beef broth
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 tbl olive oil
  • 3 cloves crushed garlic
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 bunch fresh parsley
  • 2 tbl grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herb mix

Instructions

Step 1

Add 1/3 plain bread crumbs and 1/2 cup milk (can substitute water or beef broth) in a bowl.
Give it a stir, let it sit for 20 minutes.

Step 2

Add 1 pound ground beef and 1 pound ground pork into a big bowl. Give it a mix. Saute 1 diced onion. Then add it and the bread crumbs and milk mixture into the meat bowl. Add 2 eggs, 1/4 bunch fresh parsley, 3 cloves crushed garlic, 2 tbl grated parmesan cheese, 2 teaspoon salt, 1 tsp dried Italian herb mix (basil, rosemary, thyme, marjoram, etc.), and 1 tsp black pepper. Mix well.

Step 3

Cover the bowl, and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Step 4

After that, roll the meat mixture into balls, the size is slightly larger than
a golf ball.

Step 5

Put the balls on a oiled foil in a baking pan.Bake them in a oven at 425F for 15-20 minutes.

Step 6

After that, remove, and put the meatballs into the spaghetti sauce.
Simmer on low heat for 1 hour.
