Recipe: Homemade Potato Fries

Ingredients

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 3 tbl olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1-3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbl cold butter

Instructions

Step 1

Peel the potatoes, and cut them into quarters. Then put them into a pot of cold water with a pinch of salt. Smash a glove of garlic, and put it in the water with the potatoes.

Step 2

Bring it to a simmer. Then Gently boil for 10 minutes. Remove the potatoes.
Let cool to room temperature. Then cut the potatoes into small pieces in a bowl. Add 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp paprika and 1/2 tbsp salt. Mix well.

Step 3

Add 1-2 tbsp olive oil in a saute pan over medium heat. When the oil is hot, dump the potatoes in the pan,
make them in one layer. Let sit for 10 minutes. Then flip them over once.
Take 1-2 tbsp butter, separate it and dot on the top of the potatoes.
Let cook for 10 minutes. Then flip them over once. Cook for another 10 minutes.
