Recipe: Grilled Salmon Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 8-oz grilled salmon filets
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sambal chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup basil chiffonade

Instructions

Step 1

Grilled the salmon fillets.

Step 2

Add 4 (8-oz) grilled salmon fillets (by the way, fish was salted before grilling),
2 tablespoons brown sugar,
1/4 cup seasoned rice vinegar,
1 tablespoon sambal chili sauce, or any spicy Asian-style chili paste,
1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger or ginger puree,
4 cloves garlic, very finely crushed or minced,
1 teaspoon soy sauce,
and 1/3 cup water in a saute pan over medium heat. Mix well. Bring it to a boil. Turn off the heat.

Step 3

Put the thin sliced basil chiffonade on the salmon fillets, Spoon over the hot sauce. Enjoy.
