Recipe: Fried Chili Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless center-cut pork chops
  • 1 1/2 tbl vegetable oil
  • salt to taste
  • Spice Rub
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp all spice
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp ancho chili powder
  • cayenne to taste - optional

Instructions

Step 1

Add 1/2 tsp black pepper,
1/2 tsp all spice,
2 tsp paprika,
2 tsp ancho chili powder,
and cayenne to taste into a shaker. Shake well.

Step 2

Put 2 boneless center-cut pork chops(about 7oz each, about 1 1/2 inch thick) on a plate, and sprinkle the spicy mixture in the shaker on them.
Nice thick layer on both side of the chops. Pat each side to coat firmly.

Step 3

Also sprinkle some spicy mixture on the plate.
Use a tong to grip the the pork chops and let all the sides coated with the spicy mixture.

Step 4

Put the pork chops into a Ziploc bag, then refrigerate for 4-12 hours.

Step 5

Salt pork chips before frying.
Add 1 1/2 tbsp oil into a saute pan over high heat. When the pan is hot, add the pork chops.
Pan fry for 5 minutes one side, then turn the heat to medium, fry the other side for 5 minutes.
Remove, and wrap the pork chops in a foil and set aside for 10 minutes.
