Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup tart cherry preserves
  • 3/4 cup cabernet wine
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 4 springs thyme
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper

Instructions

Step 1

Add 3/4 cup tart cherry preserves,
3/4 cup cabernet wine,
pinch of salt,
1 clove peeled garlic,
4 springs thyme,
1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper into a sauce pan over a medium heat.
Bring it to a simmer, whisk constantly.

Step 2

Simmer for 5-10 minutes. Reduce by 1/2.
If it is too thick, add some water,
too thin, reduce some water.

Step 3

It goes well with duck confit, turkey, chicken, game hens, pheasant, venison, and ham.
