Step 1
Take 1 bag white cheddar kettle-style potato chips, crush into medium-fine crumbs.
Step 2
Melt the butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the chips and breadcrumbs. Cook stirring and toss for 3 minutes. Add the cheese and cook stirring and tossing continually. Continue until the mixture begins to turn a golden brown.
Step 3
Turn off heat and reserve. To serve, spoon over prepared macaroni and cheese.
Step 4
Note: if you are using this on a baked macaroni and cheese recipe. Only cook the mixture for a few minutes before adding to the top of the casserole.
