Recipe: Basil Salmon with Garlic Ginger

Ingredients

  • 2 center-cut salmon fillet
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • hot chili sauce to taste
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp chopped basil

Instructions

Step 1

Slice the fresh ginger, mice a slice of the ginger, small and thin.

Step 2

Then add the ginger into a bowl, followed by 2 cloves crushed garlic, 1/4 cup rice vinegar, 2 tbsp brown sugar,
1/2 tsp hot chili sauce to taste, 1 tsp soy sauce, 1/4 cup water. Mix well.

Step 3

Minced some basil.
Soak salmon in both sides.

Step 4

Heat some vegetable oil in a pan over a medium heat. When hot, put the salmon in and cook.
put some salt on the top of the salmon. After 4 minutes, flip the salmon over. Cook for another 4 minutes.

Step 5

Pour the sauce in step 2 into the pan. Throw in the basil. Cook until water are mostly reduced.
