Recipe: Baked Back Ribs
Ingredients
- 1 full rack of baby back ribs
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- Dry Rub Recipe (makes a lot extra)
- 1/4 cup salt
- 1/4 white sugar
- 1/4 raw sugar (turbino) or brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ancho chili powder
- 2 tbsps freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground chipotle pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Add 1/4 cup salt,1/4 white sugar,
1/4 raw sugar (turbino) or brown sugar,
1/2 cup ancho chili powder,
2 tbsps freshly ground black pepper,
1 tbsp ground cumin,
1 tsp dry mustard,
1 tsp cayenne pepper,
and 1/2 tsp ground chipotle pepper in a bowl. Mix well. This is the dry rub.
Step 2
Drizzle some dry rub on the meat. coat it well. Wrap the baby back ribs with the foil. Cook in an oven at 250F for 2 hours. Then let sit for 15 minutes. Pour juice of the meat in to bowl.
Step 3
Turn the oven up to 350F. Paint the meat with barbecue sauce. Cook in the oven at 350F for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Remove the meat from oven, paint the meat with barbecue sauce. Bake in the oven at 350F for 10 minutes. Repeat sauce and bake step until done.
