Recipe: Apple Crisp
Ingredients
- 1 cup sifted all purpose unbleached flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 5 granny smith apples, peeled cored and cut into 1.5
- 1 golden delicious apple, peeled cored and cut into 1.5
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
Step 1
butter a cassarole dish, preheat oven to 350 F, place apples in cassaroledish. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt and cinnamon - add egg and stir.
Step 2
Sprinkle topping over apples and drizzle surface with melted butter.Sprinkle with additonal cinnamon if desired. Cook for 40 -50 mins, or until golden brown on top.
Step 3
Serve warm, alone orwith vanilla ice cream, yogurt or sour cream.
