Recipe: American Caramel Apple Pie
Ingredients
- 4-6 large red apples - sliced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter
- pinch of salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 package Pillsbury Pie Crust or pie dough for a double-crust 9
Instructions
Step 1
Put 1/2 cup sugar,1/2 cup brown sugar,
6 tbsp unsalted butter,
pinch of salt,
1/4 tsp cinnamon,
and 1/4 cup water into a pot over medium heat.
Bring to a boil. turn off the heat.
Step 2
Place 1 package Pillsbury Pie Crust, or pie dough for a double-crust 9" pie into a dish.press it in.
Put in the apple slices.
Step 3
Use a cuter to cut a Pie Crust into 8 strips. Place the 8 strips on the apple slices like a web.4 across, 4 the other way. Folder over the edge.
Now do the crumbing. hold 2 fingers about an inch apart. Press another finger in between them.
As long as all sealed, pour over the sauce in step 1.
Step 4
Bake at at 425F for 15 minutes.Then bake that at 350 F for 35-40 minutes.
